Our Hands-on Training: Basic Powerboat class is a one-day event.  It includes 3 hours of classroom instruction and 5 hours of on-water training.  Students need to complete a state-approved boating safety class before taking this course.

The content of this course conforms to the American National Standard for on-water skills as verified through an independent third-party assessment process.  For more details on this course,  click here.

After registration, you will receive an email with more information about the class. If you have any questions, please contact the Tavares Learning Center Manager.  There is a minimum of two students and a maximum of four students per class.  If a class does not have the minimum number of students by the close of registration, we may be required to reschedule the class.

Cancellation Policy: You may reschedule or cancel your training up to seven days before the class time. Cancellations made within seven days of the scheduled class time will result in a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the registration fee. Please contact the local Learning Center Manager if you need to reschedule or cancel your training.
